What a night for “Mike’s Truck.” 🚚🌺

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the release with us- it felt like the song came to life for a night and seeing it turn into a celebration with our community was pretty special.

Huge thanks to Gold Vibe, every performer, dancer, musician, friend, and member of the Madcap team who helped make the night happen — and especially everyone who showed up to support the record.

The truck has officially left the station. 💚🌴

“Mike’s Truck” is out now.
Stream it, share it, and keep it rolling link in bio.

We love you

- Madcap.

🎵 “Gives you that drunken beat, that texture, that head nod. ’Cause that’s what swing does — it gives you that head nod.”
—Jai Hanes 💚

There’s a difference between drums that are perfectly on the grid and drums that actually swing. Jai breaks down analog feel, intentional timing, and knowing when not to quantize — the difference between a beat that’s technically perfect and one that actually moves you.

P.S. We’ve been so busy behind the scenes, let us officially welcome Jai Hanes @bboy_supreme_ as Madcap Records’ Senior Executive Producer & Head of A&R — bringing his ear, experience, and instinct for artist development into everything we’re building.

More soon on Jai, growing up in LA tweaking analog beats, his work with youth, and the perspective he gains as Program Director at @kvmrx

“Songwriting is kind of a mantra. You know, the songs that you sing… songwriting is telling a story with as little words as possible. The emotion you can get out with the music.” — Koa Young 🌊
